eCommerce Manager for Enterprise Startup

Role Overview:

The E-commerce Director will lead our online commerce operations, focusing on product discovery, category management, site optimization, and online marketing strategies. This role is critical in driving the strategic direction and growth of our e-commerce presence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 
  • Develop and implement strategies for product discovery and category expansion.
  • Ensure a robust offering in both the width and depth of product categories.
  • Perform market surveys and competitive analysis to inform pricing strategies.
  • Define product offerings, including SKU nomenclature for parent and child relationships, and options.
  • Oversee the sitemap structure with an emphasis on SEO and SEM for long-tail organization.
  • Coordinate site builds and provisioning, including the integration of content assets (graphics and copy).
  • Ensure the website provides a user-friendly experience, focusing on staging and presentation of offerings.
  • Spearheaded the development and execution of online marketing strategies across various channels including SEO, SEM, social media, and alternative channels.
  • Manage the construction, tracking, and optimization of SEM campaigns.
  • Coordinate the creation and distribution of marketing and policy-related content.
  • Utilize analytics to drive site improvements and optimize user engagement and conversion rates.
  • Regularly review performance metrics and adapt strategies to maximize results.
  • Lead a team of marketing, product management, and IT professionals in the execution of e-commerce activities.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to align e-commerce strategies with overall business goals.
 

Required Qualifications:

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in e-commerce leadership, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, and online marketing strategies.
  • Experience in website management and digital content creation.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to gauge the usability of the web environment and optimize performance.
